At Port of Mokha, our Single Farmer Lot box has become a staple of our offerings and continues to be our best seller. Throughout the year, we rotate different farmer lots that reflect the distinctive and unparalleled character of Yemeni coffee.
Each lot selected for this offering captures the intimate bond between Yemen’s farmers and their rich coffee-growing regions, the generations of tradition and expertise, and the processing methods that best accentuate the coffee’s inherent virtues.
This season’s Single Farmer Lot comes from our partner estate, Alkhanshali III, located in West Haraz. It features the Udaini variety, grown at a staggering 2,300 meters above sea level and processed using the time-honored sun-dried natural method; dried for 15 days on raised African drying beds. The coffee presents a bright, lively aroma with notes of green apple, pineapple, and jolly rancher, followed by a long-lingering aftertaste that sparkles on the rim of the palate. A truly remarkable coffee that we sincerely hope you enjoy.
One of the best cups ever! Would drink this daily if I could!
The packaging and presentation are outstanding! I shared a Chemex brewed cup of this special bean with a colleague who has been in the coffee industry many years. We both thought it was a unique cup with lots of fun bakery and tropical fruit notes. Very smooth! Though, it may perhaps lend itself better to a longer brewing process than we gave this batch. Still, love the bean and Port of Mokha! So happy the Yemen bean is being recognized properly.
