Al-Khanshali Estates is the newest evolution in our founder, Mokhtar Alkhanshali's, journey as a coffee professional and farmer—a collection of owned and partner coffee estates in Yemen where his primary goal is to push the envelope with experimental processing and novel cultivation techniques to tap into the incredible potential of Yemeni coffee. Alkhanshali Estate One is the crown jewel, a coffee farm he owns and operates and has intimate control over every step of the coffee production process.
Lot 1 was an absolute standout in our most recent harvest, coming from one of the highest elevation peaks in Al-Khanshali Estate I, largely under shade-grown conditions, and processed using the innovative ASD (Anaerobic Slow Dry) method. This is the same coffee processing method used earlier this year at the Best of Panama auction by Lamastus Estates, which broke the world record for the most expensive coffee ever sold, reaching an incredible $10,013 per kilo. Under the mentorship of Wilford Lamastus and his family, Mokhtar applied this same process to craft this extraordinary coffee.
Lot 1 offers an exotic journey with every sip. You’ll discover notes of succulent peach, vibrant orange marmalade, tropical kiwi, ripe strawberries, and crisp watermelon. It’s a dazzling array of bright, sweet, and complex fruit flavors—perfect as a gift or to indulge in yourself.
