Al-Khanshali Estates is the newest evolution in our founder, Mokhtar Alkhanshali's, journey as a coffee professional and farmer—a collection of owned and partner coffee estates in Yemen where his primary goal is to push the envelope with experimental processing and novel cultivation techniques to tap into the incredible potential of Yemeni coffee.

Lot 2 comes from Al-Khanshali Estate II in Sana'a Province, where the Udaini and Dawa'iri varieties grow side by side at 2,000 meters above sea level. It was processed using the innovative ASD (Anaerobic Slow Dry) method over six days. This is the same coffee processing method used at the Best of Panama auction by Lamastus Estates, which broke the world record for the most expensive coffee ever sold, reaching an incredible $10,013 per kilo. Under the mentorship of Wilford Lamastus and his family, Mokhtar applied this same process to craft this extraordinary coffee.

Lot 2 opens with clover honey, crisp Washington apple, and bergamot, then gives way to a final sip of ripe strawberry, marmalade, and a lingering tropical aftertaste. It’s a bright, sweet, and layered cup—perfect as a gift or to indulge in yourself.
